Field Notes On Courage Conjuring
I am a woman who knows a thing or two about being stuck.
Not because I have ever lacked ideas. Quite the opposite.
The problem has been finding the courage to fully back them.
To share them.
To be seen.
To stop endlessly refining and finally revealing.
I’ve spent years watching projects linger in notebooks, half-finished canvases and documents.
Which is so frustrating in a maddening way – and a situation that makes it easy to turn on yourself.
And that’s exactly what I did.
Until I stopped it.
This very project is proof of that. I am finally inviting you in – for a cup of tea, to pull a card, to chill in my office and garden.
And with these four magazines, I’m handing you the field notes that helped me coach myself back to creating.
- Understanding my feelings.
- Questioning my thinking.
- Reconnecting with meaning.
- And learning how to be more practical.
In other words, perfecting how to coach myself instead of perfecting what I am working on.
Because courage isn’t something we either have or don’t have.
It is something we can learn how to conjure.
If you are currently sitting on more ideas than courage, you are in good company – these field notes are for you –
Devotedly,
Cecilie
